Manila City, 2 March 2015 - The two-day interactive conference on Public Space and Partnerships in the New Urban Agenda ends on a high note as city mayors led by LCP National Vice-Chairman and Balanga City Mayor Joet Garcia, Seberang Prai City Mayor Maimunah Mohd Sharif, city planners, and representatives from the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) signed the Declaration on Philippine Cities Network on Public Space at Hotel Jen in Pasay City on 28 February 2015.

Mandaluyong City, 27 January 2015 - LCP recently concluded its 1st City to City Exchange on January 27-29, 2015 in Mandaluyong City. A first of a series of learning exchanges among technical personnel and local authorities of the city governments of Pasay, Mandaluyong, Quezon, Tacloban, Ormoc and the municipality of Guiuan for planning and promoting safety and resilience in local governments.

LCP organizes 2nd mentoring session for the City LEADERS Project

Quezon City, 13 January 2015 - With continuing efforts to help cities prepare for senior high school implementation in 2016, the League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) conducted a two-day Mentoring Session for the 10 Selected Cities last January 13 and 14 at Sequoia Hotel, Quezon City. The second mentoring session focused on budget planning to ensure that adequate financial resources are allocated for local senior high school programs.

Based on the available Situational Reports from the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC), a total of 64 cities have been affected by Typhoon Quinta, Rolly, and Ulysses.
