RE : Dialogue with Department of Education Secretary Leonor M. Briones on 10 July 2020 via Zoom

DATE: July 1, 2020

We are pleased to invite you to an online dialogue with Secretary Leonor “Liling” Briones of the Department of Education on 10 July 2020, 1:00 PM via Zoom. The dialogue was organized to expound on the roles of cities in the implementation of the Basic Education-Learning Continuity Plan. The format is informal to be able to discuss the anticipated gaps in the opening of classes openly and more clearly.

For security purposes and a more lively open forum, we highly encourage participants to register following this naming convention [e.g., CITY_POSITION_FULL NAME]. Also, participants are recommended to join by 12:30 PM to give ample time for setup and testing of the online platform.

We take this opportunity to thank the cities that responded to the on-going SEF Utilization Survey initiated by the Secretariat. Currently, 34 cities responded to the survey. The deadline has been moved to 10 July 2020 to give ample time for other cities to participate. Please fill-out the online survey at this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd_x--odwlf9J-4vS1CARrXjYKZ_L5GYObjLK1s019FfJgOWA/viewform. The discussions on the amendment to the SEF is also included in the dialogue with Secretary Briones.

Thank you for your support and cooperation.

Very truly yours,

Atty. Shereen Gail Yu-Pamintuan

LCP Executive Director
