Cloud Computing Roadshow-Conference

A Cloud Computing Roadshow-Conference will be held on October 24-25, 2013 at the Subic Bay Travelers Hotel in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales, by the Chief Information Officers Forum, Inc. (CIOF) and the CIOF Foundation, Inc. (CIOFF) together with the Information and Communications Technology Office (ICT Office), the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and ICT industry partners.

Cloud computing technology is a paradigm towards resource optimization, integration and harmonization, reduction of capital costs, efficient systems deployment, and sustainable operation.

This event will be the third in a series of cloud computing roadshows, aimed at creating awareness and understanding of the concept, benefits as well as challenges in adopting and implementing this technology. It will be attended by government managers, CIOs, and other ICT professionals from government agencies and other government instrumentalities, local government units, academe and from other interested parties.

Roadshow activities will include presentations on: (1) cloud computing technology; (2) solutions and best practices; (3) issues and challenges; (4) government cloud computing initiatives; and (5) government cloud computing policy guidelines. See attached tentative program.

May we invite the Honorable Mayor and your Information and Communications Technology (ICT), MIS and Administrative Head in-charge of planning and managing ICT resources to participate in this milestone event? Attached is the tentative program for your reference.

A subsidized conference fee of one thousand two hundred pesos (Php 1,200.00) will be paid by a participant, to cover meals, conference kit and study tour for 2 days. Interested parties may confirm attendance not later than October 16, 2013 to be included in the Subic Bay Cruise. Please note that we can only include the first 100 participants in the cruise.
