MEMORANDUM

FOR : All Honorable Mayors

FROM : The LCP Executive Director

RE : Dissemination of Policy Notes on Updated DOH guidelines on testing, recovery, and quarantine and Management of Locally-Stranded Individuals

DATE: 20 August 2020

As part of our commitment to articulate the urgent concerns of cities on the COVID-19 response, the League continues to engage with national government agencies. Recently, city mayors, led by our LCP President Mayor Bing Leonardia, participated in several dialogues with the National Task Force and the Department of Health. The highlights and salient points of these dialogues have been captured in our policy notes. These aim to provide updates to city-members as well as recommendations for further action.

1) Policy Note on Management of Locally-Stranded Individuals: It discusses the summary and details of the agreement during the virtual webinar vis-à-vis the NTF Refined Operational Guidelines on the Management of Locally Stranded Individuals issued on 24 July 2020. We are still awaiting the updated guidelines and will disseminate to cities as soon as these are available.

2) Policy Note on Updated Department of Health Guidelines: It elaborates on DOH guidelines on testing, isolation, as well as recovery and discharge procedures as discussed by DOH Undersecretary Rosario Vergeire during the meeting with ULAP and local leagues on 13 August 2020.

Attached to this Memo are the copies of the policy notes. Please contact the LCP Secretariat at league.cities.philippines@gmail.com for any questions or concerns.

Thank you for your cooperation.
