MEMORANDUM

Reference No. (2020-03-09)

FOR :

The Honorable City Mayors

FROM:

The LCP Executive Director

SUBJECT:

Call for Submission of Requirements for the FY 2020 LGSF-AC (Green, Green, Green Program)

DATE: 04 March 2020

Please be informed that the Department of Budget and Management has issued on 17 February 2020 Local Budget Circular (LBC) No. 123 which prescribes the guidelines for the release and utilization of the Local Government Support Fund – Assistance to Cities (LGSF-AC) included in the General Appropriations Act FY 2020.

Said fund amounts to a total of PHP 2,489,800,000 and continues the agency's Green, Green, Green Program which aims to enhance or develop open spaces that are free and accessible to the general public to make cities sustainable, livable, and resilient. Allocations for each beneficiary city were computed based on “poverty incidence, resource per capita, population, and land area.”

In this regard, the DBM is inviting city governments to submit “complete and compliant documentary requirements” on or before 31 August 2020 to guarantee cities' access to the FY 2020 LGSF-AC within the fiscal year. Details of the requirements may be found in the attached copy of LBC No. 123.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

Atty. Shereen Gail Yu-Pamintuan

LCP Executive Director
