The Secretariat

SECRETARIAT

The LCP Secretariat has become the main arsenal managing the LCP daily operations ranging from full administrative support to facilitation in policy development and advocacy support among LCP stakeholders. The Secretariat is headed by an executive director with technical and administrative officers. The secretariat is jointly supervised by the LCP President and Secretary-General.

The Secretariat is ready to serve the LCP leadership with the following support services to LCP member-cities:

 

 
  1. Policy development and advocacy support in coordination with other local government leagues, national government agencies, and development partners;
  2. Networking and building linkages for programs and project development and implementation;
  3. Facilitation in the information exchange through quarterly meetings, policy fora, IEC materials development, sharing of best practices, and through website; and
  4. Full administrative and secretariat services to the member-cities and staff.
