The United Cities and Local Governments – Asia Pacific (UCLG-ASPAC) is inviting newlyelected city mayors to take part in the 2020-2021 class of the Asia-Pacific Mayors Academy organized by the UNESCAP and UN-Habitat.

 

This fellowship aims to engage local chief executives in the Asia Pacific to build their capacities that will allow them to implement sustainable urban solutions in support of the New Urban Agenda and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. One of LCP’s members, Sipalay City Mayor Maria Gina Lizares, was part of the first batch of fellows of the Academy that successfully completed the program.

 

Deadline of applications is on 07 August 2020. Interested city mayors may apply by submitting the attached application form and a one-minute video introducing their city and explaining their reason for joining the Academy to escap-edd-suds@un.org, habitatbkk@un.org, and inst.gov@uclg-aspac.org.
