MEMORANDUM

TO : THE HONORABLE CITY MAYORS

RE : Earth hour 2015 main switch off event

DATE: March 19, 2015

Among World Wide Fund for Nature's (WWF) most successful campaigns is Earth Hour, the largest voluntary movement for the planet. WWF started Earth Hour to engage a mass audience behind the issues facing our planet, and to make a statement that when united we can make a difference. Last year, a record of 7000 cities and municipalities from 150 countries observed the 60 minute lights - out for the environment. Since 2008, the Philippines has been hailed as Earth Hour Hero Country for having the most number of towns and cities participating.

In this light, the League would like to encourage your city to conduct and participate in the main switch off event "Change Climate Change" on March 28, 2015, 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Kindly document your expressed support and participation in this event and send it to the league.cities.philippines@gmail.com for proper documentation. Attached herewith is the copy of Earth Hour FAQs for your reference.

Should you have queries, please feel free to get in touch with WWF at 02 9207923/26/31 local 17 or 19 and email at earthhour@wwf.org.ph. Alternatively, you may coordinate with Mr. Vaughn delos Reyes at 02 470 6813 or +63 916 786 8350.

I am looking forward to your participation in the 2015 Main Switch Off Event!

Thank you.
