All Local Government Units are invited to attend the International Food Exhibition (IFEX) Philippines Food Export and Investment Seminars, FREE-OF-CHARGE.

The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions is holding the 11th edition of the country's banner food event, the International Food Exhibition (IFEX) Philippines: Asia’s Ethnic Food and Ingredients Show, on 19-21 May 2017, at the World Trade Center Metro Manila and Philippine Trade Training Center.

IFEX Philippines 2017 marks another milestone as it is officially included as an ASEAN Summit 2017 trade event. One of the newest component of the show is TasteASEAN@IFEXPhilippines featuring top food brands and food-related products from
the 10 member countries. EU will also have its Pavilion as IFEX Philippines International Partner Region featuring products from companies coming from regional bloc countries such as Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands among others.

A major component of the show is the IFEX Philippines Food Export and Investment Seminars designed to keep industry players well-informed of the latest market developments, insights and trends on the global food industry.

To better appreciate this event, we offer the following benefits for the students:

a. Expose them to the food industry business opportunities;
b. Allow them to attend free of charge activities and seminars;
c. Enable them to network with possible suppliers and buyers;
d. Introduce them to the latest food processing trends and packaging; and
e. See and taste the latest food product innovations and applications.

In this regard, we invite you and your local SME’s to attend the show and participate in the Food Exports and Investments Seminars as well as the IFEX Kitchen activities. We wish to request also an endorsement of this invitation to all the member municipalities. Attached is the letter of endorsement for your signature and the complete Food Exports and Investments Seminars schedule of activities.

We believe that IFEX Philippines will offer new learning, open new opportunities, and set new directions, and encourage new partnerships in the agricultural and trade sector. Coorganized by the Department of Agriculture, IFEX Philippines is our contribution to the upliftment of our agricultural and fisheries communities, as well as livelihood projects of the cooperatives.

Should you have further questions regarding the show and the event activities, please contact Ms. Janine S. Briones, Project Officer for Special Events, email address jbriones@citem.com.ph or telephone number: 831-2201 local 228.

Please feel free to visit our website: www.ifexphilippines.com to REGISTER and to know more about the event. Should you have difficulties accessing the registration form, we have attached in this letter the printed copy to be submitted on or before 15 May 2017 to Ms. Briones.

We look forward to your participation. Thank you.
