Building Climate Resiliency Through Urban Plans and Designs (BCRUPD)

A capacity building project funded by the German government’s International Climate Initiative (IKI) and primarily implemented by the UN-Habitat in partnership with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and other governmental agencies in the cities of Angeles, Cagayan de Oro, Legazpi, Ormoc, and Tagum. The project supported the Philippine government in improving policies, regulations, and capacities to adapt to climate change through the promotion of climate-responsive sustainable urban development plans and designs. LCP was engaged in the selection of the partner cities and in ensuring replicability in other local governments.
