LCP Statement on the violence that occurred during the police dispersal

Quezon City, 21 October 2016 - As Advisers to the GRP peace panel and president and immediate former president of the League of Cities of the Philippines, we, Mayors Edgardo Pamintuan and Herbert Bautista of Angeles City and Quezon City, respectively, express our indignation and deep concern over the violence that occurred during the police dispersal last Wednesday (Oct. 19) of a rally by militant groups in front of the United States embassy in Manila.

UPD forms partnership with LCP

Quezon City, 7 October 2016 - The University of the Philippines Diliman, through the Confucius Institute (UPD-CI), entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) in "teaching Chinese language and culture to schools" of LCP member cities on Oct. 4 at the Office of the Chancellor.
