Getting Cities Ready for Vaccines

By LCP Secretariat
February 23, 2021 - Quezon City

The Liveable Cities Labs, presented by the Liveable Cities Challenge PH and the League of Cities of the Philippines, in partnership with Globe Telecom, will kickstart its 2021 series--a continuation of our webinars last year that aim to equip cities with knowledge and insights for designing better solutions for their communities.

The global COVID lockdown has greatly affected our cities and with the arrival of vaccines, the largest mass immunization in history will be a daunting logistical and public education challenge for all of us.

Thus, the first Labs session entitled “Getting Cities Ready for Vaccines” will tackle the preparations undertaken by city local governments in rolling out their vaccine programs to fight COVID-19. The discussion will focus on how cities are building public acceptance for the vaccine, allocating shots equitably across various populations, and administering these efficiently together with different partners.

The first Labs session will be held next Wednesday, 24 February 2021, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. The lineup of panel speakers features no less than our own LCP National President and Bacolod City Mayor Bing Leonardia; LCP Executive Vice-President and Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte; LCP Public Relations Officer and Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez; and Makati City Mayor Abby Binay.

City mayors, LGU officers, and staff are highly encouraged to take part in the online session. Sign up now by visiting http://bit.ly/LCCVACCINES.
