New Normal Hero of the LGU vs COVID

By LCP Secretariat
August 20, 2020 - Quezon City

LOOK: Richard Manuel from the LGU of Zamboanga City is featured as the first New Normal Hero of the LGU vs COVID Platform supported by The Asia Foundation and the DILG.

"One incident stands out. When Richard's residence in Barangay Zone 1 was affected by the localized lockdown due to several registered COVID-19 positive cases, he decided to sleep at the City Hall Parking Area bringing with him his sleeping gears. He slept on the bench, and he hadn't gone home for two (2) straight weeks so that he would not miss his driving responsibilities. The City Mayor then immediately ordered her staff to find him a better place to rest and sleep. His dedication to his duties and responsibilities is very commendable, considering the personal health hazard he is exposed to.

A father of three (3), Richard has not seen his family for months now serving the City of Zamboanga and its medical front liners. His sacrifices and dedication to work are worthy of emulation- marks of a New Normal Hero tirelessly working behind the scenes to help protect communities against COVID-19."

Congratulations and thank you for your hard work and dedication, Richard!
