Dialogue between LCEs and Members of NGAs

The Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines organized a dialogue between local chief executives and members of the national government yesterday, 3 August 2020, to discuss the effective management of locally stranded individuals (LSIs) as well as the opening of higher education classes.

 

Several mayors from the LCP actively took part in the said webinar:

 

• LCP National President and Bacolod City Mayor Bing Leonardia articulated the LCP's position on the LGU-to-LGU management of LSIs.

 

• LCP Representative for Region X and Tangub City Mayor Jenny Tan raised certain points regarding internet connectivity vis-à-vis CHED's UniFAST.

 

• LCP Representative for Region IX and Zamboanga City Mayor Beng Climaco expressed her concerns regarding testing at the local level.
