City mayors push for quality and accessible healthcare programs

The health session emphasized the cities’ agenda in bringing efficient and quality healthcare services. Batangas Governor Hermilando I. Mandanas shared an in-depth discussion on the impacts of the Mandanas-Garcia ruling on Universal Health Care. Johnson & Johnson Philippines Inc. Global Public Health Manager Ms. Stephanie Lao-Illiscupidez discussed their continuous global efforts to treat patients with Tuberculosis and enable a Tuberculosis-free region. 

 

The Association of Anti-Drug Abuse Coalition (AADAC Philippines) Chairman Emeritus and CEO Dra. Raquel P. Tolentino explained the development phases of community anti-drug coalitions in the country and its international programs. Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc. (AC Health) President Paolo Borromeo and Senior Health Adviser Dr. Jose Florencio F. Lapeña Jr. highlighted the 6th Liveable City Playbook dedicated to healthcare and strengthening LGU programs on health. Viatris Pharmaceutical’s expert on Internal Medicine, Dr. J. Antonio L. Bautista discussed the prevalence of hypertension among Filipino adults and risk factors for non-communicable diseases.
