VNG Partners Hold Successful Mission in Manila

During the five-day mission, LCP and VNG International met with the DENR-EMB Solid Waste Management Division OIC Chief Juvinia P. Serafin, Metro Clark Waste Corporation Executive Vice President Vicky Gaetos, Dutch Embassy in the Philippines Deputy Head of Mission Pieter Terpstra, Manila Bay Coordinating Office Executive Director Mr. Jacob F. Meimban Jr, NEDA Undersecretary Roderick Planta, and DILG Undersecretary Marlo Iringan to discuss updates and the roles of cities on the implementation of the Manila Bay Sustainable Development Masterplan (MBSDMP). 

 

The main activity of the five-day visit is the Commitment Signing with the province of Bataan to undertake collaborative efforts in improving solid waste management. The signing was led by Bataan Governor Abet S. Garcia, Balanga City Mayor Francis Anthony S. Garcia, Dinalupihan Mayor Angela S. Garcia, and Hermosa Mayor Antonio Joseph Inton on 20 April 2022 at the Bunker. 

 

Joining the mission on the side of VNG International is its Program Manager Ms. Irene Oostveen and their experts, Mr. Frans Follings and Mr. Felipe Vasquez. From LCP, Ms. Soleil Manzano, Mr. Alvidon Asis, and Ms. Amelia de Guia joined Executive Director Veron Hitosis.
