Good afternoon. Here are the updates from the 09 July 2020 IATF-EID briefing:

 

1. LGU-RELEVANT UPDATES

• LGUs to take charge in declaring localized lockdowns and enforcement of social distancing protocols as the economy starts to reopen.

• Back riding for couples will be allowed by NTF starting tomorrow following the motorcycle prototype designed by Bohol Gov. Yap.

 

2. SALIENT POINTS OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL PRE-SONA PRESENTATION

• SSS PHP 20,000 Calamity Assistance Program - unemployment benefit program for the private sector (OFWs, kasambahays, etc.)

• GSIS PHP 30,000 Computer Loan Program starting 01 August 2020 - educational loan program of up to PHP 100,000

• Landbank lending program for private educational institutions through ACADEME (Access to Academic Development to Empower the Masses towards Endless Opportunities)

• Philippine Guarantee Corporation (PhilGuarantee) PHP 120-billion credit guarantee program for small businesses

• TESDA online trainings

• DOT online learning series workshops as part of the re-tooling program in the tourism industry

• PHP 5,000 cash subsidy for farmers and fishermen

• DTI PHP 1 billion COVID-19 assistance to restart Enterprise Loan Program

• Build Build Build Program continues

 

3. TOP CONFIRMED PROVINCES/CITIES IN TERMS OF ACTIVE CASES

• Cebu City - 4,380 cases

• Quezon City - 1,899 cases

• Manila City - 1,719 cases

• Cebu Province - 1,551 cases

• Caloocan City - 793 cases

 

4. LSIs

• Total no. that have returned home - 4,180 as of 4-5 July 2020

• Next send-off - 25-26 July 2020

 

5. OFWs

• 10 July - Arrival of the first batch of departed OFWs (44 remains)

• 13 July - Second batch of arrival
