Updates from the July 7, 2020 IATF-EID Briefing

Good afternoon. Here are the updates from the 07 July 2020 IATF-EID briefing:

 

1. SUSPENSION OF MRT-3 OPERATIONS

• MRT-3 operations are temporarily suspended for approximately five days beginning today or until RT-PCR testing confirms negative a sufficient number of personnel to resume operations.

• Increased bus augmentation will be done during the suspension. 190 bus units will be deployed on EDSA Busway and 150 bus units to be deployed at the Monumento to PITX route.

• One miniloop for Timog Avenue to Ortigas

 

2. DA UPDATES

• Whole-of-nation approach to deter the new strain of the swine flu virus

• Setting-up inter-agency surveillance mechanisms for swine farms and workers

• Food Safety Act of 2013 should be strictly enforced

 

3. LIFTING SUSPENSION OF NON-ESSENTIAL TRAVEL BY FILIPINOS

• All travel restrictions relative to outbound travel of Filipinos have been lifted

• Travel of healthcare professionals is not covered by lifting of ban on non-essential travel abroad. There is existing POEA ban on deployment of healthcare workers abroad.

• Conditions

- submission of confirmed round-trip tickets for those travelling on tourist visas

- adequate travel health insurance to cover rebooking and accommodation expenses

- allowed entry by the destination country in accordance with their travel, health, and quarantine measures

- execution of a declaration acknowledging the risks involved in travelling

- to follow the Guidelines of Returning OFs of the NTF upon return (i.e. RT-RCR testing and quarantine)

- to take in effect 15 days after the publication in the Official Gazette

 

4. BEAUTY AND PERSONAL SERVICES

• GCQ: All haircutting services and hair treatment services are allowed (until July 15: 30\\%; starting July 16: 50\\%)

• MGCQ: All haircutting services; hair treatment; nail care services; basic facial care; basic personal care. Subject to strict protocols on hand sanitation, face mask, face shields, gloves, and sterilized equipment (until July 15: 50\\%; starting July 16: 75\\%)

• Mandatory guidelines

- No face mask, no entry policy

- Provision for rubbing alcohol

- Registration with Safepass or staysafe.ph, health declaration checklist for contact tracing

- Thermal scanning

- Decline entry to all with symptoms

- Chairs allowed to be occupied shall be distanced at least 1 meter on all sides

- Proper ventilation and exhaust system

- Restroom is properly sanitized and free of accumulation of trash

- Sterilizing of all equipment

- Companions are not allowed entry
